Trip to Illinois

Wow, it's been a little while since I've posted on here. It has been crazy! During the beginning of Brady's Spring Break we decided to take a quick trip to IL to visit family. It had been WAY to long since we had gotten back there. We had a wonderful time(minus the not-so-fun cold I decided to obtain).
We were able to see both sides of my family. We went over to my Aunt Patty's house and spend time with her family as well as my grandpa and grandpa Cherry. We hadn't met my cousin Sara's daughter Ellie yet. She is such a cutie and a little pistol! My cousin Tracy's daughter Brooke was there also, it was amazing to see how tall she was! We missed Clayten he was at a sleepover at a friends house. It was so great just to sit with them and catch up on stuff. We missed my other Aunts and cousins but we hope to see them really soon!!

We then decide to try and take in one Lincoln Site since we didn't have time to do all of them. So we went over to Lincoln's Tomb. In the parking lot we got an extra treat though! A mini Oscar Mayer Weiner Mobile had stopped so we got our picture taken by it. We walked on up to the tomb and walked around, Brady seemed pretty interested. We each took turns rubbing Abe's nose for good luck and snapped some pictures. A nice man even took our very first family of 5 photograph!! :)

After we went site-seeing we headed over to meet the Birches for dinner. Almost everyone was there, except my Aunt Barb and Uncle Dean and their kids David, Val and Sarah, and Nathan(my Uncle Jeff's son) wasn't there , Oh and Holly and Aaron BUT we'll get to those two in a few. We were able to finally meet Nevan, Stephanie's son-can you say Wild Man! haha He's a cutie!!
The kids had a blast running around with him and playing with Pappy's tractors and trucks. Grandma had a nice spread as always. Yeah my dairy-free diet went right out the door(luckily we had the ok)!
The next day we went out to eat with Grandma and Pappy and then went over to see Tim and Lana's new house and then over to Jeff's new house. Both were very nice!! We then headed out to the farm and went to the new shed/building that Jeff built. Wow, it's huge! So great! Brady got a ride with Uncle Jeff from the farm to the shed on a BIG tractor, he was in heaven!! Once they got to the shed they sat on every tractor, truck, 4-wheeler you name it! I wish we were closer so Brady could be out there more, he loves it. I remember my memories of the farm and riding with Pappy in the tractors, I think I rode more than I walked!!! It was great!

Once we left the farm it was time to start heading homeward. We headed over to my cousin Holly and her husband Aaron's house in Champaign to spend the night. On the way we ran up on fields of wind turbines. It was so Awesome! We have always seen them on tv but never up close. There were so many and so many more being built! We took some pictures.

We had a nice visit with Holly and Aaron, they happened to be pet-sitting another dog too(they have 2 dogs themselves). It was crazy, the kids loved it though! haha We were able to go out to eat dinner with them and saw Elvis re-incarnated at the local Walgreens. I wish I had my camera!

Before we left for Ohio the next morning we drove around U of I and then went to IHOP for breakfast. This was Brady's one request for our mini vacation. I don't think he realizes that IHOPS are in OH too, he just remembers going there when we were at David and Val's wedding a few years back. Anyway, we went had some yummy pancakes and then headed home.

We had a terrific time with everyone. We wish we had more time to stay longer but hopefully we will be able to make it back this summer for an extended time. There are so many family and friends we still need to see and want to see again.
We love you all very much!!!

Some Big Changes...

We have had some big changes at the Cameron household recently...

We'll start with the youngest...Georgia has started to smile at us! She has the cutest smile! She is doing really good, gaining weight, getting long, I think we may soon be out of her 3 mths clothes. I have still yet to get a picture of her smiling, I'm trying to have a camera nearby so I can catch it! Here is one though to keep your Georgia fix up.

On to Bethany, well I'll just show you the pictures...

1 month old!!

Photobucket

Georgia is 1 month old today!! She has already changed so much. We went to the Dr and she now weighs 9 lbs 3 oz and is 21.5 inches long. She's doing really well. She is starting to sleep better(which is oh so nice) and getting her days and nights in line. She has started taking a bottle from Daddy so that helps mom out some. I have started a dairy elimination diet because we think she has a milk sensitivity. She shows almost all the symptoms. I started last Sunday, at first I was really frustrated but it actually isn't that hard. My friend Jenny has been a big help, her daughter Claire has a severe milk allergy so she has to do this all the time for her. We feel very good about the decision, I will do what I have to do to make Georgia feel better. I can already see a bit of a difference, it's been a full week now and today she seems not to have puked as much and her skin and bottom are starting to heal.

Georgia is a lot differnt then the other 2, we said when she was in utero that she may give us a run for our money and she has. She requires a lot more attention then the other two. She does not like the swing, bouncy seat or glider. She will sleep in the glider when it's stationary but the movement is a no! She does like mommy and daddy to rock her though.

She does like to play with her tongue like Bethany,it's pretty funny. Ginny said her dad used to do that too so it must be a Wasson trait.

Her eyes are starting to get more blue, her hair is red, we are wondering if it will stay that way. I hope it does. :)

The kids are still doing well with her. Brady is fascinated with her eyes, but lately he wants to know when her teeth will come in. See he is holding back this piece of candy he got for Valentine's Day for her. We tired to tell him that maybe he should just eat it and when Georgia is older than he could give her another piece. We'll see if he holds out! Bethany loves Georgia's hands, she makes sure her are very clean with the sanitizer and then will just hold them. Oh, and if Georgia would happen to hold up a finger, then she counting, and Bethany starts to count with her. :)

I'm doing good, feeling pretty much back to normal. I've been getting some sleep thanks to my wonderful husband!!

Here are some pics from the past month...

She was absolutely done with pics! :)

Results are in!

Yeah! Missy Spradlin is the winner of our baby guessing game!!

Thanks so much to everyone who participated,we had so much fun!

You can see the actual results on the baby game page.

She's Here!!

Georgia Marie was born Jan 19th at 8:55am. She was 7lbs 12oz and 20 inches long!

She's beautiful and doing great!

Delivery went very fast, I actully started contracting on the way to the hospital Monday morning. But after Dr Huggins broke my water it went really fast. I was able to get my epidural! Praise the Lord! :) I had a lot of people ask me why I was induced, and we feel it was totally God directing us. Georgia's umbilcal cord was actually in a knot, which can be very dangerous. After finding this out we were very relieved that we went ahead and decided to be induced. She had no complications.
We are happy to be home and the kids are enjoying their new sister. We had been worried about Bethany after her hospital visit, she was a bit unsure when mommy was holding Georgia. But since we've been home she has been all about her, always wanting to touch her and hold her. She is a big help getting diapers or whatever we need. She always says she needs the sanitizer so she can touch her. :) It was a relief to see her like this.

So we are all adjusting well, and getting as much sleep as we can. I'l try and post more pics later.

Love.

Baby News

Me again! Just wanted to let you know the latest baby news. I went to the Dr yesterday and they were pretty surprised I had not gone into labor yet! Just based on the position of the baby. (Honestly, I should have went ahead and gone in on Tuesday night, but Kirk was out in Columbus for the night and I was waiting for him, of course 30 mins before he came home contractions just stopped!) So yesterday, the Dr and I made the decision to go ahead and induce this Monday(the 19th) at 5am. He said there is a very good chance I will go before though. So we are hoping that I do go before and can forego the induction but we will be happy either way.

We are very excited to know there is an end and we will have our little one in our arms sometime Monday!

Brady had a snow day today, which even though trying at times is nice to have both kids here so I can spend some time with them before #3 comes and joins us. They are very excited to see their new sibling. Bethany is very adimate about having a sister, and gets pretty upset when we tell her there is a chance is will be a brother so we shall see what this outcome will be. I was very emotional yesterday with Bethany, I think even more so then thinking I'm going to be delivering soon. Just thinking that Bethany will no longer be the baby, she's going to be a big sister! I definately have made some cuddle time with her and we've talked a lot about the changes that will happen. We also had a girl night painting toes(hers-lol) and finger nails.

If you could especially remember us this weekend as we go into this final stage of pregnancy, may it go smoothly!

We'll keep you posted!!

Love.

Final Countdown!

Just thought I'd post a little update on me and the arrival of Baby #3.

Well, I will be 38 weeks on Weds. This is the longest I have been pregnant! Both Brady and Bethany were born at 37 weeks. So this is a new experience for me. I have to say it has made me frustrated at times. I'm bigger this time which I guess is to be expected. I found my first 2 stretch marks, which is so sad. I never had them with the other two, and I know I should be happy that there are only two but I can't help it!! This baby is definately a mover, likes to stretch from top to bottom. Whew, very painful. I have no idea how big this baby is!

We are pretty ready at home, got the changing table up and bassinet all ready. I've been cleaning and straightening like a mad woman. Going to try and conquer Brady's room today. In the process of finishing up some meals for the freezer for after the baby is here.

I feel ready, actually I feel more than ready!!

Only time will tell...

Christmas 2008

We had a very nice Christmas this year!
Both sides of the family came to our house this year. It was so nice not having to travel anywhere. The Cameron side came on the 27th, minus Ginny who got tackled with the flu the night before. :( Bethany and Macie had fun being mischevious, I think that's going to be there theme as the years go on. :) The Birch family then came over on New Year's Day. We couldn't believe how big Rachel has gotten since Thanksgiving! And Abigail is growing and talking and doing so many new things. She's definately turning into her own little person. She really likes Unca Kirk!! Her dimples grab a hold of you tight too!!

Kirk was able to take a couple of days off over Christmas so it was nice to have him around. We were able to do some stuff around the house and just hang out together.
Christmas Day was really nice with just us and the kids. I'm really beginning to cherish these times. At first it was a little hard being by ourselves when you are so used to having family around on Christmas, but making our own memories is so much fun. It was so relaxing!!

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a blessed New Year!

I've posted some pictures below:
