Bethany's 4 months old!!

I can't believe Bethany is already 4 mths old! She is getting so big!! We went to the Dr and she now weighs 14 lbs, she is 24.25" long. The Dr said she is perfect! She couldn't believe how strong she is! When she was listening to her heart Bethy decided she wanted to sit up! Abs of Steel!! Then after she sat up and we got her back down, she rolled over! She's such a stinker! She thought it was hilarious! She makes me laugh everyday! Bethany LOVES Brady! Anything he does makes her giggle. She has now moved on to looking at mommy's hand, she still LOVES looking at her own the most though(she holds out her hands like she's looking at her manicure-so funny)! Kirk stood her up next to the sofa the other day, she stood there for a few seconds unattended. She just wants to get down and play with Brady so badly! :) Well, right now Bethy is sleeping off those yucky shots! I will post a picture of her when she is feeling a bit more up to it!

I'm so tired of these stupid lawsuits. Instead of a parent actually being a parent and telling their kids NO for once, they decide to file a lawsuit! It aggravates me so much! I mean Yes, it does get tiring telling you child "no you can't have that", but it's what I signed up for when I had kids. I knew there would be times that they would not get everything they wanted! And we all wonder why the kids are acting like they are, parenting has gone out the window! Every parent wants to be the childs friend! You can be close to your child yet be authorative, maybe your child won't always be happy with your decisions but hopefully in the long run they will be better people!
Just reading this article then watching the story on the news, made me so angry I had to post.

Family News

OH Wow! Well, it's been a little while since I have updated our site so I thought I would share a little. Ever since Christmas it has been a whirlwind of sickness in our house. I had a terrible cold right after the holidays and then it went right into having the flu. It took me a good week to really get back feeling normal after that. Brady has been fighting little sicknesses the whole time too. Kirk did get a small dose of the flu, but he was better within a day. PTL that Bethy didn't get sick!!

Kirk is back into the swing of things at school. Last weekend he went to Cara's and finished(for the most part) remodeling her kitchen. It was a challenge for me just because it was the first time I had the kids all by myself for the whole weekend. Other than running into a couple of migraines, it went good. I have to say it is so nice to have Kirk back home though!! Kirk had a "snow day" yesterday so we were able to spend some quality time together-it was very nice.

Brady is back in full swing at preschool. He was definately ready to go back(mommy was ready too). Since their Christmas party was snowed out before break we decorated their gingerbread houses last Thursday. It was fun, they definately like to load on the candy! :) I can't believe how big he's getting, a lot of his Christmas clothes don't even fit! It's crazy!

Bethany is growing like a weed too! She is such a sweetie! She is so strong, it amazes us. She loves to stand! She is already making herself sit up, she DOES NOT like to lay down. She definately likes to be in the action. She rolled over on Monday!! We can't get it on video though, she's a stinker! She has already tried putting her knees under her and has started to push off! Brady walked when he was about 10mths, but I think she may walk sooner than that at the rate she is going!! She makes us smile everyday!

Family News

We had a really nice time on NYE! We went over to Nate and Jen's house, Mike and Kelley were there too!! We had a blast playing pin the tail on Mike(don't worry it was just a picture-LOL) and our ever favorite game Taboo! Girl's won like always!! Jen made some yummy grub too! Sofie had fun with Bethy! Sofie is a hoot, she definately stole the show! :) We always enjoy ringing in the new year with the crew!! Fabulous!!!

Christmas time at HOME!!!

Ahh, we're back home! This is our first Christmas Day that we are spending at our own home! We decided we wanted start doing this since our family is growing. Plus, we have to get Santa's gifts! Brady wouldn't want to wait for that! We had a nice day at home, I don't know how much rest we got it seemed like we did more work around the house rather than relaxed. Oh Well, at least we got to spend it together! We opened gifts mid-afternoon and then Brady started opening up all his goodies! He had a blast! Bethany slept most of the day but would wake up and give us some screams so we knew she was still around! :) I made some cornish hens for dinner, which were so yummy. We gave the kids their baths and then off to bed they went(well, at least one of them did-the girl not quite).

God has truly blessed us this Christmas with wonderful kids, family and friends!!!

I'll post some pictures tomorrow, but it's late and I need to go to bed while I can!
